Job summary

Wiggles and Giggles Childcare Centre in Dural NSW is seeking an experienced cook to join our team. You will plan menus, prepare nutritious meals for 50+ children, and manage weekly orders within budget.

Applicants should have a hospitality or commercial cookery qualification, a current First Aid certificate, WWCC, food handlers certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Prior experience in childcare cooking is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Qualification in hospitality or commercial cookery.
• First Aid certification (including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis).
• Working with Children’s Check (or eligibility to obtain).
• Food handlers certificate and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Understanding of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Early Childhood Education qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels and plan menus.
• Prepare and cook nutritious meals for 50+ children daily.
• Liaise with suppliers and manage weekly orders within budget.
• Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions in menu planning.
