The Service

The service has ample staff parking and is accessible by public transport. The staff and families from our centre come from a wide variety of social and cultural backgrounds, which we acknowledge and celebrate daily. The Role

Commencing in January 2026, this is an excellent permanent part time position working 8:30am - 1:30pm on Monday to Friday,to nurture a love of food in children aged 0-5 years old as you prepare their meals from scratch and become a key part of the team.

Duties include:

  • Managing the kitchen
  • Ordering of stock (from preferred suppliers of fruit, vegetables and groceries)
  • Planning and preparing all nutritious menus from scratch
  • Assisting in small group experiences with the children and introducing them to the wonderful world of cooking
  • Ensuring health and safety are always maintained at a very high standard

To be considered for this role, it is essential you:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain Employee Working with Children Check
  • Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Have work rights that enable you to work in Australia
  • A passion for cooking healthy and nutritious meals
  • Applicants must be able to provide two professional references from supervisors
  • Willing to complete a fitness for duties medical assessment
