Branyan Early Learning Centre is seeking a Centre Cook / Chef to prepare wholesome meals for children from birth to five years, supporting health and wellbeing with nutritious menus and kitchen creativity.

You will manage stock, comply with food safety, tailor meals to dietary needs, work with educators, and contribute to a friendly, family-oriented team committed to positive mealtime experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine passion for cooking wholesome meals
• Reliable and organized, able to work independently
• Understanding of food hygiene practices or willing to obtain training
• Able to manage time effectively in a busy kitchen
• Blue Card required or willing to obtain
• Enjoys being creative and trying new recipes
• Positive, friendly attitude, team player
• Willing to learn about children’s nutrition and dietary requirements

Responsabilités

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children from birth to five years
• Plan balanced, child-friendly menus encouraging healthy eating
• Cater for dietary requirements, food allergies and intolerances
• Manage kitchen stock, order supplies and work within a weekly budget
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and comply with food safety standards
• Complete required kitchen records and temperature checks
• Collaborate with educators to promote positive mealtime experiences
• Bring creativity and enthusiasm to our menus
