Job Details:

As the Child Health Nurse you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering child health services in remote communities under a culturally respectful model of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting developmental health checks for children aged 0–5
  • Providing immunisations according to the WA schedule
  • Managing care for at-risk children and those in protective care
  • Coordinating recalls and follow-up for screenings and checks
  • Supporting health promotion and education for clients and staff
  • Participating in outreach to remote areas via 4WD or light aircraft
Requirements:
  • Full AHPRA registration with no restrictions
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Child Health
  • Proven experience in maternal and child health within primary care
  • Manual driver’s licence with ability to drive a 4WD
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations
