Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking an enthusiastic Child Care OSHC Aide to support the daily operation of our Outside School Hours Care service. You will set up activities, supervise children, and help maintain safe, engaging spaces for before and after school care.

You will work closely with families and colleagues to ensure consistent care, wellbeing monitoring and smooth day-to-day operations. This position offers a stable, permanent or term contract with competitive entitlements.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or school-age programs preferred.
• Ability to monitor and respond to children's wellbeing.
• Strong safety and hygiene practices in a group setting.

At Kids Early Learning you help create positive experiences that children and families can rely on, supporting them through Outside School Hours Care (6:30am - 9:30am and 2:00pm - 6:00pm).

As an Child Care OSHC Aide, you support the Service Coordinator with the daily operation of the service. You set up and pack away activities and equipment, supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, and help maintain clean, safe and organised spaces. You monitor children's wellbeing, respond to their needs and contribute to programs that support their learning, development and participation.

You work closely with children, families and colleagues to provide consistent care and support. You help maintain records, follow health and safety requirements, communicate with parents and contribute to an environment where children feel secure, included and supported throughout the day.
