Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking an OSHC Assistant to welcome children into a safe and engaging environment for before and after school care. You will help set up activities, supervise play and group programs, assist with meals and routines, and share important information with families and team members.

This is a permanent full-time role with hours around the school day. You will work in a supportive team, gain experience in early childhood education, and contribute ideas for activities.

Every day, you welcome children into a safe and engaging environment where they can play, build friendships and grow in confidence before and after school. At Kids Early Learning Colyton you help create positive experiences that children and families can rely on, supporting them through Outside School Hours Care (6:30am - 9:30am and 2:00pm - 6:00pm).

As an OSHC Assistant, you support the day to day running of the service. You set up activities, prepare resources, supervise children during play and group programs, and help maintain a clean, safe and organised environment. You support children travelling to and from school, assist with meals and routines, administer minor first aid when required, and share important information with families and team members. You also contribute ideas for activities that keep children engaged and support their development.

This role gives you the opportunity to make a positive difference in children's daily experiences. Every interaction helps children feel safe, supported and included while giving families confidence that their children are cared for in a welcoming environment.

You work in a supportive team with hours that fit around the school day.
