Job summary

Manly Minds Pty Ltd is seeking a Child and Teen Psychologist to join our Northern Beaches practice in Manly. You will work with children aged 4–18 and collaborate with families, schools and GPs to provide evidence-based interventions.

The role includes a steady referral flow, full admin support including Medicare claiming through Halaxy, and a supportive team with senior clinical consultation. Flexible days help maintain work/life balance.

Qualifications

• General registration with AHPRA is required.
• Eligibility for Medicare provider number is required.
• Current ABN, or willingness to obtain one, as this is a contractor role.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check is required.
• Professional indemnity insurance is required.
• Experience in assessing and treating children under 14 is preferred.
• Evidence-based interventions for children (CBT, parent-focused or play-based therapies) are expected.
• Ability to work with parents and carers as active partners in treatment.
• Strong written skills for clinical notes, reports and correspondence with GPs and schools.
• Commitment to ethical, child-safe practice and ongoing professional development.
• Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical, Educational and Developmental, or Counselling Psychology is preferred.
• Experience with neurodevelopmental assessment (ADHD/autism) is desirable.
• Familiarity with Halaxy or a similar practice management system.
• Available for at least one day per week, including after-school hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and treatments for children aged 4–18.
• Collaborate with schools, GPs and paediatricians.
• Prepare clinical notes, reports and correspondence with stakeholders.
• Provide parent-focused work and family-centred care.
