About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a senior position within the Dubbo Medical Imaging Department. The Chief Radiographer has administrative and operational responsibility for the delivery, and management of Medical Imaging within Dubbo Health Service. Flexible start dates through to early 2026!

Dubbo Hospital Medical Imaging offer radiological services to the emergency and inpatients of Dubbo Hospital as well as outpatients of Dubbo and surrounding communities. The department operates 24/7, 365 days a year and has a range of shifts spanning 0700-0000 with on-call thereafter.

This role will be primarily responsible for the provision of imaging services within the Dubbo Health Service. There are some operational responsibilities to surrounding outreach imaging services as well as maintaining supportive managerial reporting lines to some regional sole Chief Radiographers. Managing a team of around 50 staff including Radiographers, Sonographers, Radiologists, Nursing and Medical Administrative Staff, this role is primarily administrative in nature. There will be a requirement of offering support to the clinical roster where required.

Reporting directly to the General Manager - Imaging Services, this role liaises closely with the executive members of other facilities to ensure a collaborative approach to quality Imaging Service delivery. Medical Imaging is an independent business unit operating in WNSWLHD and supplying diagnostic imaging services to many facilities across WNSW.
