Job summary

Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA) seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead the Corporate Services Branch and contribute to the Executive Team. The role involves enterprise leadership, governance, risk management, and driving improvements across planning, technology and people functions.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational insights to the CEO, support statutory responsibilities, and elevate organisational capability within a high-scrutiny public sector

Qualifications

• Demonstrated enterprise leadership at the SES Band 1 level.
• Strong governance, risk, security and integrity capabilities.
• Experience advising the CEO and Executive Team on strategic and operational matters.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and diverse teams at a senior level.
• Ability to lead corporate reform and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, values-based leadership across IPEA’s enabling functions.
• Deliver authoritative strategic, operational and technical advice to the CEO and Executive Team.
• Strengthen governance and assurance across the agency.
• Lead corporate reform, risk management and continuous improvement.
