Job summary

MECCA Brands is seeking a Head of Merchandise Governance & Operations to lead Governance & Analytics and Supply Operations & Distribution, reporting to the General Manager - Merchandise Operations. This role shapes the strategic direction, optimises how the function operates and drives operational excellence across MECCA.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience across merchandise operations, inventory, supply chain, planning or buying support functions.
• Strong knowledge of replenishment, allocation, inventory management and merchandise governance within a retail environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and enterprise transformation initiatives, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical capability, systems knowledge and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams balancing operational excellence with commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing Governance and Supply Operations teams, driving accountability, capability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee merchandise governance, including master data, pricing governance, obsolescence governance, inventory reporting and core Buying & Brands operational processes.
• Drive replenishment strategy and inventory execution, partnering with Supply Chain, Planning and Retail to optimise availability and inventory performance.
• Represent Brands & Buying on enterprise-wide initiatives including ERP, Availability and other strategic transformation programs.
• Own operational performance across key functional KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and commercial outcomes.
