Job summary

GV Health in Shepparton is seeking an experienced medical leader to join its executive team as Director Medical Services. This newly created role offers the chance to shape medical leadership, governance and service delivery across the organisation.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the appointee will lead Clinical Directors and the Public Health Unit, with optional clinical work. Fellowship FRACMA is valued but not essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Medical Practitioner in Australia (or eligible).
• Significant senior medical leadership experience within a hospital or health service.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior clinicians.
• FRACMA fellowship would be highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Clinical Directors and the Public Health Unit.
• Provide strategic medical leadership across GV Health.
• Strengthen medical governance, engagement and service delivery.
• Advise on medical workforce and clinical governance strategies.
