Job summary

Constantinople is seeking a Head of Lending to own end-to-end lending operations for mortgages, vehicle loans and other products across multiple channels. You will set operating models, SLAs, and cost-to-process targets while driving AI-enabled improvements and maintaining a robust control framework.

You will lead a 30–45 person team, work with client banks, and report to executives on risk, compliance and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Australian lending operations with leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated control environment accountability in lending operations.
• Experience driving AI/automation in lending transformations.
• Ability to engage with executives and regulated stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end lending operating model across origination, variations and post-settlement.
• Set and monitor service levels, turnaround times, first-time-right rates and escalation thresholds.
• Manage capacity and workforce planning against forecasts and seasonality.
• Drive cost-to-process reductions through AI and automation while preserving controls.
• Lead the AI and automation roadmap for lending platforms and processes.
• Own the lending control framework including risk, compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure NCCP, RG 209, APS 220, AML/CTF and privacy obligations are met.
• Own incident management, containment, remediation and customer impact handling.
• Approve SOPs, delegated authorities and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Serve as senior relationship owner for client banks and governance forums.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on the lending roadmap.
• Lead readiness for new client go-lives and migrations.
• Own third-party vendor portfolio and SLAs; manage vendor risk obligations.
• Coach and develop four direct reports and a 30–45 person team.
• Foster a performance-driven, accountable culture.
