As the Western Australian Government agency providing shared services to the state’s public health system, we provide a suite of financial, ICT, procurement and supply, and workforce services to more than 65,000 employees across WA’s public health services and hospitals.

Your new role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced person for the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO).

This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 5 years.

As part of the Health Support Services (HSS) Executive, the Chief Information Officer is responsible for:

• leading the transformation and modernisation of ICT within HSS and the WA health system, and contributes to the strategic direction and management of HSS;
• leading and managing the ICT Business Unit to provide a WA health system-wide ICT service, which delivers a modern, secure, integrated and user-friendly ICT platform for public health care services in Western Australia;
• leading and transforming WA Health’s cyber security vision and strategy to protect digital and physical assets; and
• leading the implementation of a portfolio of critical digital change programs/projects across the WA health system through the application of high-quality leadership, best practice delivery strategy, program design, stakeholder/change management and program governance;
• developing and defining the WA health system's technology priorities and landscape for ICT and information management, including but not limited to the planning of WA health system-wide ICT investments, and the coordination and driving of major ICT programs, and the operation of the WA health system’s ICT operation.
