StateCover Mutual seeks a senior technology leader (CIO/CTO/GM Technology) reporting to the CEO with regular exposure to the Board. You will drive enterprise technology strategy, govern delivery of key transformations, and secure executive sponsorship.
You will lead the IT function through the Head of IT, covering applications, business analysts and help desk, plus information security, ensuring alignment with APRA regime and Member outcomes.

This position reports to the CEO and is a key member of our Executive Team with regular exposure to the Board and its committees. Key to the success of the role will be balancing enterprise accountability for technology strategy while expertly leading with visibility and presence, driving the execution and delivery of key technology transformation initiatives and sponsoring sound technology governance and capability uplift.
The position leads an engaging and experienced team of IT professionals, managed through the Head of IT, who is responsible for day-to-day operations including IT applications, business system analysts and the help desk, and an Information Security function covering cyber, vulnerability management and incident response. We are also in the process of maturing our long term needs through an Enterprise Architect role which will report to the CIO.
As someone with demonstrated senior technology leadership experience as a CIO, CTO or GM Technology, you will have a track record of building enterprise technology strategy and securing support for it across all levels of the organisation. As an APRA and SIRA regulated entity, you will be comfortable operating in a complex, regulated environment, having had direct exposure to complex, regulated environments, further having experience in insurance or financial services will be highly regarded.
You will be transparent, collaborative and commercially minded with a focus on buildings genuine credibility with the CEO and executive team and translate technology into business and Member outcomes. This role asks you to empower your leadership team while you hold focus on strategy and organisational outcomes.
