Chief Information and Technology Officer

About the Role
The Chief Information & Technology Officer (CITO) is a key member of IBA's Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO.
This role leads ICT, PMO, Procurement, and Property functions, covering areas such as cyber security, data & analytics, information management, ICT operations, and technology enablement.
Key Duties
- Lead IBA's ICT and digital strategy, including cyber security, information asset management, data governance, digital platforms, and analytics - ensuring systems are secure, innovative, and enable evidence-based decision making.
- Shape technology architecture and governance by setting clear direction for ICT operations, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies, ensuring they align with business needs and future growth.
- Oversee enterprise operations across ICT, procurement, property, and project management functions, embedding robust governance frameworks, risk management practices, and service optimisation to achieve operational excellence.
- Guide and develop high-performing teams and partnerships, a high touch role engaging with and mentoring leaders, managing supplier relationships, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Apply strong commercial acumen and financial management, including contract negotiation, supplier management, and budget oversight, to ensure value for money and sustainable organisational outcomes.
Skills, experiences and qualifications
- Education & Credentials - Relevant degree in IT, Business, or related field; postgraduate qualifications (MBA or IT specialisation) highly regarded; ITIL and Project Management certifications desirable.
- Information & Technology Leadership - Deep expertise in ICT strategy, digital transformation, cyber security, and data governance, with a proven record of delivering enterprise-wide technology outcomes.
- Executive Leadership & Operational Excellence - Demonstrated ability to lead large teams (40+), embed governance frameworks, and deliver complex programs within budget and compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management - Strong influencing skills with the presence and gravitas to build trusted relationships at Board, Executive, and senior stakeholder levels.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen - Experienced in managing $10M+ budgets, negotiating contracts, and ensuring value-for-money outcomes through strong financial stewardship.
