We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team - a rare opportunity to shape the financial future of a purpose-driven organisation. As CFO, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, playing a critical role in guiding CVGT’s long-term sustainability, growth, and transformation. This is more than a finance role - it’s a leadership opportunity to influence the direction of a nationally recognised not-for-profit committed to inclusion, innovation, and impact.

You will lead a high-performing finance team and oversee a broad portfolio including finance, payroll, insurance, property, and fleet. With a focus on clarity, innovation, and operational excellence, you’ll ensure our financial operations are agile, future-ready, and aligned with our mission to deliver exceptional services and expand our reach.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with CVGT’s vison and growth objectives.
• Executive Partnership: Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board to support strategic decision making.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee financial operations, compliance, and governance across multiple business units.
• Team Empowerment: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Risk & Governance: Champion robust risk management and governance frameworks to ensure financial integrity.
• Commercial Acumen: Contribute to tenders, proposals, and supplier negotiations with a strategic lens.

Key Selection Criteria

• ACA/AASA/CPA qualifications and relevant tertiary education.
• Proven executive level experience in financial leadership, ideally within not-for-profit or employment services.
• Exceptional strategic planning, financial modelling, and analytical capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with Board-level reporting experience.
• A collaborative leadership style and commitment to purpose-driven work.
• Full working rights in Australia, valid driver’s licence, and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
