Job summary

HumanKapital is partnering with a leading refugee and migrant services organisation to appoint a Chief Finance and Technology Officer (CFTO). The role leads Finance, Technology, ICT, Procurement and governance functions, reporting to the CEO.

The CFTO will drive budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and long-term planning, delivering strategic financial advice, risk management and major contract oversight while guiding transformation and digital initiatives across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Finance, budgeting and forecasting expertise for not-for-profit organisations.
• CPA or CA qualification and governance knowledge.
• Experience in financial reporting, audit and internal controls.
• Experience leading transformation and digital initiatives.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and long-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial advice on government funding, grants and revenue streams.
• Develop, maintain and monitor the organisation's enterprise Risk Register.
• Ensure technology resilience, disaster recovery and system continuity for critical systems.
• Oversee major supplier and commercial contracts within the CFTO portfolio.
• Sponsor transformation, innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Finance and Technology Officer (CFTO) is a key member of the Leadership Team and provides strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Technology and ICT, Procurement, Commercial Management, and associated corporate governance and assurance functions.

• Lead organisational budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and longer-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial and commercial advice in relation to government funding, commissioned services, grants and other revenue streams.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and monitoring of the organisation's enterprise Risk Register.
• Ensure the organisation maintains appropriate technology resilience, disaster recovery and system-recovery arrangements for critical business systems.
• Provide oversight of significant supplier and commercial contracts within the CFTO portfolio.
• Act as a senior organisational sponsor of transformation, innovation and continuous improvement.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
• Current CPA or CA qualification.
• Experience within the not-for-profit, human-services, NDIS, aged care, settlement or related sectors will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash-flow management, audit and internal controls.
• An understanding of technology governance, cybersecurity, information security, systems resilience and business continuity.
• Demonstrated experience leading significant systems, digital or organisational transformation.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and capability-development skills.
