UCOL seeks a visionary Chief Executive to lead its next chapter of growth and impact, building on its strong regional presence and practical, career-focused education.

UCOL is a leading tertiary education provider focused on practical skills, applied learning and community uplift. We're looking for a strategic and experienced Chief Executive to establish UCOL as a prominent and innovative vocational training hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set strategic direction for UCOL’s future development.
  • Oversee operational, financial, and academic functions.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with industry and communities.
  • Manage multi-site campuses and staff teams.
  • Ensure compliance with educational standards and governance.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in leading large, complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of tertiary education and governance.
  • Financial acumen across budget management and revenue streams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Effective leadership of diverse teams through change.

Candidates should have extensive leadership experience in large public or tertiary organisations, with strong knowledge of New Zealand educational frameworks.
