Job summary

Jawoyn Association Aboriginal Corporation seeks a permanent Chief Executive Officer to lead a group of companies, enterprises and programs that employ Jawoyn people, care for Country and support families. You will report to the Board through the Chair and work with Elders for guidance.

You will be responsible for governance, financial sustainability and leading the Executive Leadership Team, with oversight of tourism and enterprise operations.

Qualifications

• Experience at senior executive level in a complex organisation.
• Strong commercial and financial judgement with a track record of strengthening organisations.
• Ability to operate under Aboriginal community control with respect for Elders.
• Proven capability to develop Jawoyn and Aboriginal people into leadership roles.
• Willingness to travel across Jawoyn Country.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, financial sustainability and integrity of the group.
• Lead the Executive Leadership Team.
• Oversee tourism and enterprise businesses through their general managers and boards.
• Ensure the Association meets governance and legal obligations.
• Guide the Association through the Healthy Country Plan 2018-2028 and beyond.
