Job summary

Jawoyn Association Aboriginal Corporation in the Northern Territory seeks a permanent Chief Executive Officer to lead a group of companies, enterprises and programs that employ Jawoyn people, care for Country and support families.

You will report to the Board, work closely with the Council of Elders, and be accountable for governance, financial sustainability and the delivery of strategic plans through the Healthy Country Plan 2018-2028 and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience leading at senior executive level in a complex organisation.
• Ability to work effectively under Aboriginal community control and report to a board.
• Strong commercial and financial judgement.
• Proven governance and regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, financial sustainability and integrity of the group.
• Lead the Executive Leadership Team.
• Oversee tourism and enterprise businesses through their general managers and boards.
• Ensure the Association meets governance and legal obligations.
• Lead the Association through the Healthy Country Plan 2018-2028 and into the next plan.
