Job summary

The Committee for Ballarat is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and transformation. This is a rare opportunity to influence the long-term future of the Ballarat region - bringing together business, government and community leaders to deliver meaningful economic and social outcomes.

As CEO, you will lead a small high-performing team to implement the organisations strategic agenda, Vision 2050.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and/or government relations.
• Strong commercial acumen, including partnerships, sponsorship or business development.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex stakeholder environments.
• High levels of emotional intelligence and relationship-building capability.
• Experience leading small or resource-constrained teams to achieve significant outcomes.
• A demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution.

The Role

The Committee for Ballarat is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and transformation. This is a rare opportunity to influence the long-term future of the Ballarat region - bringing together business, government and community leaders to deliver meaningful economic and social outcomes. As CEO, you will lead a small high-performing team to implement the organisations strategic agenda, Vision 2050. From facilitating engaging member events, to aligning with strategic partners in advocating to Government for the region's priorities, your strategic and commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on approach will set you up for success. You will also be supported by a highly engaged and skilled Board.
