Job summary

Royal Children’s Hospital seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead digital health and ICT strategy from the Parkville campus. You will oversee planning, governance and execution of all ICT and cybersecurity, shaping technology to improve patient safety and outcomes while managing a ~45 FTE workforce and a significant budget.

You’ll join a senior leadership team driving a national leader in paediatric digital health, with AI, data analytics and EMR investments delivering value across Victoria

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline; MBA desirable.
• Minimum 5 years’ senior leadership experience in ICT or digital roles, including managing teams.
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation in complex health/government environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex technology solutions within budgets and timelines.
• Strong cyber security, health data governance and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive RCH’s Digital and ICT Strategy aligned to our plans.
• Govern and deliver the digital portfolio with measurable benefits.
• Lead cyber security and technology risk management.
• Partner with clinical leaders to co-design digital solutions incl. AI.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing digital workforce.
• Represent RCH in government, research and industry forums.
