Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section is seeking a highly experienced Head of Airworthiness to ensure continuing airworthiness across its fleet. You will lead airworthiness, maintain CASA compliance, and manage maintenance control, budgeting and safety culture.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Aviation & Operations, you will mentor a skilled team, collaborate with cross‑functional leaders, and uphold regulatory excellence to keep RFDSSE aircraft mission-ready for emergency

Qualifications

• Approval as HAAMC, ACM or Responsible Manager previously or currently.
• Hold or previously held an aircraft engineer licence (B1 or B2) or related qualifications.
• Extensive knowledge of CASA regulations and continuing airworthiness requirements.
• Experience with Part 42 Continuing Airworthiness Management systems and expositions.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFDSSE's airworthiness function ensuring fleet safety and CASA compliance.
• Oversee continuing airworthiness systems, maintenance programs and manuals.
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing team with a strong safety culture.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to meet organisational objectives.
• Manage departmental budgets, reporting and resource planning.
• Represent RFDSSE with CASA and aviation partners.
