Job summary

Evolve Scientific is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Assistant in Western Sydney. You will learn to identify, classify and prepare chemicals for treatment under experienced chemists and operators. This is a hands-on role in a warehouse environment, not a traditional lab position.

We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Sort and classify incoming packaged chemical waste.
• Assist with identifying unknown chemicals through testing procedures.
• Safely handle, decant and prepare chemicals for disposal.
• Pack laboratory chemicals for destruction.
• Work closely with operators, drivers and site personnel to ensure safe chemical handling.
• Follow strict safety procedures and wear PPE including respirators, chemical suits and face shields where required.
• Assist with general warehouse and manual handling duties.

About the role:

• Physically capable of manual handling tasks
• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, retail or hospitality experience will be highly regarded
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling is advantageous but not essential
