The Logan & Albert Hotel is a beautiful country pub with a 4.6‑star Google rating, and we’re looking for an experienced Chef & Cook to join our kitchen team.

You’ll work in a modern, well‑equipped kitchen alongside a passionate team that takes pride in serving consistently delicious food. We work hard, support one another and still enjoy a laugh along the way!

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing, cooking and presenting quality pub meals

• Working across the larder, pans and preparation sections

• Setting up your section and making sure it’s ready before service

• Keeping up with orders during busy lunch and dinner services

• Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards

• Making sure meals are consistent and leave the kitchen on time

• Checking food quality, freshness and stock levels

• Rotating and storing stock correctly to reduce waste

• Following food safety, hygiene and cleaning requirements

• Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised

• Helping with deliveries, stocktakes and kitchen preparation when needed

• Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams

• Supporting junior team members and lending a hand where needed

• Helping create a calm, friendly and respectful kitchen environment

What we’re looking for

• At least two years’ experience in a similar kitchen role

• Experience working with larder, pans and food preparation

• The ability to work confidently during busy services

• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene

• A solid work ethic and a calm, reliable approach

• Someone who turns up on time and works well as part of a team.
