About You

You will have experience running a kitchen within an Aged Care Facility which will ensure you feel comfortable stepping in to manage all facets of Food Services. You will have the ability to lead the day-to-day production with the assistance of kitchen hands and accept responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen.

The Role

Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring that food is prepared safely and hygienically.

Ensure food is prepared to a high standard of quality and presentation, and check supplies to confirm freshness and suitability.

Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards.

Follow food safety rules, hygiene standards, and other regulations for serving food in Aged Care Facilities.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 months experience as a chef
  • Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Cert IV in Commercial cookery/ Diploma in hospitality)
  • Food Safety and Handling Certificate
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (in line with state requirements)
  • Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and mobile phone
