Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a casual Chef to prepare nourishing meals at Abbotsleigh School in Wahroonga, NSW. The role is 8 hours weekly on Sundays, 8:00am–4:30pm, in a supportive school environment. Bring your culinary craft and contribute to a community-focused kitchen that values care and quality.

You will work with a friendly team, ensure allergen safety, maintain hygiene, and deliver high-quality plates for students and staff. Uniforms and development opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery alongside a Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or readiness to secure one promptly.
• A constructive, proactive attitude towards kitchen duties and food service.
• High personal hygiene standards, impeccable grooming, and professional kitchen etiquette.
• A passion for purposeful, community-centered culinary work rather than ordinary cooking jobs.

Responsibilities

• Cook delicious, healthy, and high-quality meals for students and staff.
• Manage all culinary tasks smoothly, from bulk food prep to attractive plating.
• Strictly oversee allergen safety and special dietary requirements to safeguard student health.
