Job summary

Aveo Group is seeking a Chef Manager to lead a hands-on kitchen operation at Forest Grove Retirement Living. You will oversee food preparation, ordering, rostering, compliance, and menu input to ensure high-quality dining for residents within a 700+ community.

This permanent full-time role runs Monday to Friday 8:00–4:30pm (times may vary by operations). You will mentor the kitchen team and contribute to residents' dining experiences daily.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Food Safety certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on preparation of high-quality meals.
• Oversee ordering, stock control, and food safety compliance.
• Coordinate rostering and support recruitment of kitchen staff.
• Contribute to menu planning and resident dining preferences.
• Plan and deliver catering for community events.
• Build relationships with residents and respond to feedback.
• Lead the kitchen team in a collaborative, hands-on style.
