Lucas Collective's Society in Melbourne is seeking a Chef de Partie or higher to join a premium, à-la-carte kitchen. You will help lead service in a fast-paced environment and refine your craft among Melbourne's talented culinary team.
You must have 2 years in a similar role, a solid understanding of food safety and time management, and be willing to work weekends and holidays. We offer competitive salaries, staff discounts across Lucas venues and opportunities for growth.
A statement of modern Australian design and sophisticated dining culture, the art of à la carte is the centrepiece allowing diners to curate their own experience promising no two visits need ever be the same.
Grand yet intimate, the restaurant has 180 degree views over Collins and Exhibition streets encompassing distinctly different dining experiences – the Society dining room, customised private dining, the Lillian Brasserie and a luxurious lounge bar with each space remaining independent in menu offerings.
Proudly founder-owned and led, our independent hospitality collective is home to the country’s most loved and acclaimed restaurant, bar and event brands — including Chin Chin, Maison Batârd, Society, Grill Americano, Yakimono and more.
We are curious and innovative, forever redefining the boundaries of hospitality as we forge a new future at the intersection of lifestyle, culture and design.
Formerly known as Lucas Restaurants and The Lucas Group, Lucas Collective is brought to you by restaurateur Chris Lucas.
You'll play a key role in daily kitchen operations, using your skills and expertise in a fast-paced, premium dining environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef looking to refine their craft and grow within a highly regarded team.

We recognise talent, celebrate success and create space for individuals to thrive, proudly offering a culture that’s inclusive, inspiring and grounded in respect.
