Job summary

Maison Bâtard in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join a prestigious kitchen team. You will work closely with senior chefs to uphold the highest standards of quality, consistency and efficiency across your station.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie in a high-end, à la carte restaurant.
• French cuisine experience is advantageous.
• Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and quality.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team oriented with good communication and a proactive attitude.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and rotations.
• Interest in day-to-day kitchen operations and rostering.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have

• Experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-end, a la carte restaurant
• French cuisine experience advantageous
• Strong culinary skills with an eye for detail and a passion for quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
• Team oriented and strong communication skills
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Eye for detail and strong time management
• Knowledge food safety standards
• Genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
• Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
