Job summary

Ventia's Defence hospitality team in RAAF East Sale seeks an experienced Chef de Partie to deliver high-quality catering across breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will work under the Head Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, contributing to field catering and special requirements while upholding safety and service excellence.

You'll mentor Kitchen Hands, ensure food safety and efficient operations, and thrive in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen.
• Strong organisational and planning skills are essential.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Professional, proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals to a high standard.
• Support and guide Kitchen Hands and Utility staff.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and compliance.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with large-scale catering and emergency meal services.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and work collaboratively.
