We are currently seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and play a key role in maintaining our reputation for outstanding food.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of preparation, cooking, and presentation. You will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef, contributing to menu development, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and mentoring junior staff.

This role is ideal for a motivated chef with a passion for high-quality, modern pub cuisine who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute food preparation and service in your designated section to ensure consistency and quality.

Work across all kitchen sections as needed, including grill, larder, fryers, and pans.

Follow recipes and plating guidelines to maintain food presentation standards.

Assist in menu planning, special dishes, and seasonal changes.

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in compliance with HACCP and kitchen best practices.

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and professional development.

Monitor stock levels, assist with stock rotation, and report shortages to the Head Chef.

Work collaboratively with the entire kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.

Maintain a strong work ethic and contribute to a positive team environment.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready to step up.

Strong understanding of modern Australian pub and bistro-style cuisine.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.

Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and plating standards.

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen best practices.

A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Formal culinary qualifications (Cert III or higher in Commercial Cookery) preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.

Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
