Freyja is experiencing a high demand and as a result, several opportunities have become available to join our Culinary team. We are on the hunt for experienced Junior Sous Chef and Chef de Partie.
Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and/or Head Chef, you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of the kitchen and the services you are involved in.

Combining experimental principles with traditional Northern European practices, the menu will be a balance between adventurous and classic dishes but will always stay true to the ethos of locally sourced ingredients and simplicity.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on chef and should possess some of the following essential key experiences and qualifications:
Demonstrate a genuine passion for food and beverage, and drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career
Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a premium restaurant
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
Overseas training/experience in similar concept and environment highly regarded
Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations
Prepare, supervise cooking and other food preparation and presentation activities by working alongside the kitchen team on a daily basis to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the kitchen and service
Understanding of raw materials, quality control and other techniques for the effective creation and distribution of food products and cooking procedures
Inspect cooking equipment, supplies, work areas and ingredients to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards
Available to work varied shifts, including late evenings and weekends
Cope well under pressure and have the capacity to multi-task
A can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and willing to go the extra
Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent is required
