Job summary

Rockpool Residential Aged Care seeks a skilled Chef or Cook to join the kitchen team in Queensland. You will prepare nutritious, well-presented meals tailored to resident dietary and cultural needs, always with attention to presentation and consistency.

This hands-on role focuses on following menus, recipes and production schedules while maintaining food safety records and kitchen hygiene. A supportive culture and regular hours await.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in hospitality, healthcare or aged care.
• Solid cooking skills and presentation.
• Ability to cook for diverse dietary needs including texture-modified and allergen-free.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to Rockpool's quality standards, tailored to resident dietary needs.
• Follow menus, recipes and production schedules set by the Executive Chef.
• Prepare meals for diverse dietary requirements including texture-modified dishes.
• Maintain food safety documentation including temperature records, HACCP checks and cleaning logs.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and hygienic to required standards.
• Assist with stock rotation, date labelling and correct food storage.
• Report equipment faults or shortages to the Executive Chef promptly.
• Contribute to a positive kitchen culture and participate in resident events.
