The Green Cafe is a modern and vibrant cafe, located in a brand new building at Toongabbie point, in the heart of Toongabbie. We are offering top quality specialty coffee, freshly made breakfast, lunch, and brunch menu, house-made cakes, and meals aiming for clean, fresh, and flavoursome meals.

Requirements for this role:

  • Flexible hours available
  • Expected salary: $33 - $35 per hour
  • This is an immediate start position

What are we looking for:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handle all daily kitchen operations, including breakfast and lunch service.
  • Preparation of sandwiches, wraps
  • Have a positive and can-do attitude and keep the highest quality customer service
  • Attention to detail and great communication skills, in both giving and receiving instructions, during service and in handover.
  • Excellent ability to follow prep lists and ordering sheets from the head chef
  • Excellent stock control & ordering skills
  • Culinary training, 3 years experience in a similar cafe venue will be highly considered
  • Ability to work weekends (rotating roster)
  • A true passion for food, a good understanding of a cuisine that serves wholesome, flavoursome meals.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and follow correct procedures for the opening and closing of the kitchen
  • The ability to work in a team but also autonomously with great attention to detail
