The Role

The Royal George Hotel (RGs) and Fatboys Cafe, Fortitude Valley is looking for a new full-time Chef or Experienced Cook to join our team and be part of a family-owned group. RGs is part of the family owned Pullos Hotel Group, including Ric's Bar & Backyard and the multi award winning Chattahoochee Joes Honk Tonk, all located in the heart of the Fortitude Valley Entertainment Precinct. The kitchen contains clean, modern equipment and a strong experienced team is in place.

The successful applicant will be required to produce high quality, well presented cafe-style food in an efficient manner. An enthusiastic, pleasant attitude is essential.

The Role

As our new cook, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a high standard
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
  • Assisting with menu planning and specials
  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Working closely with the head chef and kitchen team
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of pub-style cuisine
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and passionate about food

Documentation showing training, experience and references will be required. Extensive experience in a similar style of operation is essential. All references will be contacted and independent enquiries made in the filling of this vital position within the hotel.
