Job summary

Busy Bees Carlisle is seeking a passionate Part-Time Chef to prepare nutritious meals for children aged 0–5 years and support a safe, healthy Kitchen environment. The role involves planning, budgeting, and ensuring allergen-aware meals in line with dietary guidelines.

You will work approximately 35 hours per week in a busy, child-focused setting, with uniform allowances and access to professional development. Prior childcare experience is valued, as is a Working with Children Check in WA.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, childcare experience is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to plan, portion and budget meals for groups of young children.
• Strong time management and organisational skills across a busy kitchen.
• Current Working with Children Check for WA or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with dietary guidelines.
• Cater for allergies and cultural dietary requirements.
• Manage food ordering, budgeting and stock control.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Safety Standards.
