Job description

Chef – Residential Aged Care | Monday to Friday | 9am–5pm

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionateChefto join a well-respectedResidential Aged Care provider, delivering high-quality meals and nutritional care to residents in a 45-bed facility.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hospitality professional who is looking for stability, work-life balance, and a rewarding role supporting the wellbeing of older Australians.

About the Role:
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals for approximately 45 residents
  • Monday to Friday –9:00am to 5:00pm schedule(no weekends!)
  • Ensure all meals meet dietary and texture requirements (e.g., IDDSI)
  • Maintain a clean, safe and compliant kitchen in line with food safety regulations
  • $75k + Super
  • Collaborate with care staff to accommodate resident needs and preferences
  • Assist with ordering, stock control, and kitchen documentation
About You:
  • Formal culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or institutional catering preferred
  • Knowledge of dietary needs, including texture-modified and allergen-aware meals
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to undergo aNational Police Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Checkrequired (or willingness to obtain)
