Job summary

Cabrini Health in Melbourne’s southeast seeks a skilled Chef for casual shifts at Cabrini Malvern. You’ll assist with food preparation, cooking, special dietary meals and dining service, supporting compassionate care aligned with Cabrini’s mission.

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar role.

• Deliver friendly, compassionate food and beverage service, including room service and dining room service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, HACCP compliance and kitchen cleanliness.
• Manage food storage and stock rotation to ensure quality and minimise waste.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare teams to support excellent patient and resident care.
• Contribute to workplace safety, quality improvement and efficient kitchen operations.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team and help deliver high‑quality meals and exceptional food service to our patients and residents.

Working alongside the Head Chef and wider team, you will assist with food preparation, cooking, special dietary meals and food and beverage service, helping create a positive and compassionate dining experience in line with Cabrini’s Mission, Values and Vision.
