Pholklore is looking for experienced Fulltime chef to join our restaurant team at 238 Pakington Street, Geelong West 3218

Responsibilities
  • Design new menus with the restaurant manager, manage all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking and clean up
  • Manage, motivate, lead and develop the Kitchen team
  • Delegate the tasks to the kitchen staff and inform the wait staff on today’s specials and chef’s specials
  • Maintain a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness in accordance with company standards
  • Inspect raw and cooked food items to guarantee the highest quality products are prepared and served to customers
  • Manage food costs and supplier management to budget
  • Manage staff costs to budget
  • Manage and maintain ordering of stock and produce
  • Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with management to align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the company
Qualifications
  • Qualified Chef or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years' experience within a fast paced environment
  • Australian qualification of Certificates III and IV in Commercial Cookery or positive Trade Skill Assessment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with restaurant staff and management
  • Detailed knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills
