Job summary

  • Maintain controls over sensitive messaging with compliance and regulatory guidance.
  • Coordinate materials across channels (email, Teams, SharePoint, cascades).
  • Support reporting on reach, engagement, and issues requiring escalation.

Our multi-disciplinary team acts as an in-house “agency” – deploying high-quality comms capabilities at the forefront of strategic advisory and integrated execution services.

Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:

Lead the development and delivery of internal communications and engagement activity for the CORE+ Program, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, practical and aligned with AIG’s broader communications standards. Translate complex risk, governance, regulatory and transformation content into accessible employee communications, leader talking points, FAQs, manager toolkits and practical guidance. Support the development of the CORE+ narrative, tone and messaging guardrails, helping leaders communicate the program in a way that acknowledges the seriousness of the regulatory context while reinforcing confidence, accountability and progress. Partner with the CORE+ Program team, Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, HR, Marketing & Communications and business leaders to coordinate timely, accurate and approved communications across key milestones. Develop leader and manager enablement materials that help people leaders explain organisational change, expected risk behaviours, escalation pathways and practical implications for teams. Support change adoption by designing communications that connect CORE+ activity to day‑to‑day work, decision‑making, risk ownership, controls discipline and sustainable business performance. Monitor employee sentiment, questions, feedback themes and communication risks, feeding relevant insights into CORE+ governance and helping refine messaging where needed. Maintain strong controls over sensitive or regulatory‑related messaging, ensuring communication remains factual, appropriately positioned and aligned with approved Legal, Risk and regulatory‑affairs guidance. Coordinate communication materials across channels including email, Teams, SharePoint, leadership updates, manager cascades, employee FAQs and supporting presentation materials. Help manage communication risks including employee concern or speculation, inconsistent leader messaging, communication fatigue, perception of blame and potential external stakeholder questions. Support evidence and reporting of communication activity, including reach, engagement themes, adoption indicators, materials delivered and issues requiring escalation. Bring external change communication and transformation experience to help create a structured, engaging and sustainable communications approach that supports long‑term risk culture uplift.

What you’ll need to succeed

Extensive experience in internal communications, change communications, organisational change or transformation communications within a complex corporate environment. Proven experience supporting major transformation, remediation, regulatory change, risk uplift or culture change programs; experience in financial services or another regulated industry is highly desirable. Strong ability to translate complex, sensitive or technical subject matter into clear, concise and practical messaging for employees, managers and senior leaders. Demonstrated experience developing communication strategies, change narratives, leader talking points, FAQs, manager toolkits, engagement plans and multi‑channel communication materials. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior leaders, Legal, Risk, HR, program teams and communications colleagues. Sound judgement in handling confidential, sensitive or reputationally significant matters, including the ability to manage messaging risks and maintain appropriate approval disciplines. Excellent written communication skills, with a clear, professional and audience‑led style suitable for executive, leader and employee communications. Practical understanding of change adoption, employee engagement, communications measurement and feedback loops that support sustained behavioural change. Highly organised, delivery‑focused and comfortable working at pace across multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholders. Collaborative, resilient and proactive, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or fast‑moving transformation environments.
