Job summary

PwC Australia is seeking a Manager in CFO Advisory to lead finance transformation initiatives, deliver data-led insights, and support clients across sectors. You’ll guide project teams, design financial solutions, and ensure strong governance and risk management.

With 5+ years in finance, accounting, or audit and a Bachelor degree with CA qualification, you’ll drive optimisation, system implementations, and cost efficiency while mentoring junior staff and contributing to client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, external audit, or a related field.
• Bachelor or equivalent degree and CA qualification (or equivalent).
• Exceptional skills in leading project teams to deliver finance projects or internal improvement activities.
• Experience in risk & controls, process optimization, financial reporting, technical accounting, management accounting, or budgeting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide meaningful insights to clients.
• Technical accounting proficiency with experience in applying accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Help shift from transaction processing to data-led insights for trusted decision making.
• Participate in process modernisation, activity analysis, risk and control design, and continuous monitoring.
• Contribute to Finance System Implementation Support: Assisting with business cases, chart of accounts design, program management, and control design/assurance.
• Support Cost optimisation initiatives: Helping determine operating model and commercial benefits to fund modernisation programs.
• Assist with Transactional Change: Contributing to pre or post deal support including governance, accounting, integration, and synergy realisation.
