Job summary

Career Development and Management Guru is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join the CFO Advisory team in Central Queensland. You will support management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and business performance reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients.

You will gain exposure to Virtual CFO engagements, financial modelling and KPI reporting while developing your career beyond tax and compliance work, in a large regional firm with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years Australian accounting experience, public practice or business advisory
• CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards it, highly regarded
• Strong accounting and financial reporting fundamentals
• Experience with management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication with clients and senior professionals
• Commercially minded with interest in how businesses operate

Responsibilities

• Support management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow for diverse clients
• Prepare management accounts and financial models
• Develop KPI reporting and forecasts to illuminate business performance
• Contribute to Virtual CFO engagements and broader advisory projects
• Assist with client communication and deliverables
• Support process improvements and strategic financial insights
