Job summary

Developing Dreams Early Learning Woongarrah is a small, 29 place service operating 8:00am-4:00pm, 50 weeks per year. We have been rated Exceeding twice in the last 5 years and our company is highly awarded.

The role involves supporting a team that delivers high‑quality early childhood education and care, working to the National Quality Framework and the service’s Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. You will contribute to a culture of child safety and implement our philosophy of Relationships,

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
• Child Protection Qualification.
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training.
• Clear Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Support a team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care.
• Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework, including the relevant laws and regulations.
• Adhere to the Code of Ethics, the service's Code of Conduct and the Child Safe Code of Conduct.
• Develop a culture of child safety.
• Implement and uphold the service's philosophy and guiding values of Relationships, Wellbeing and Growth.
• Support the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service.
• Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Demonstrate reliability through punctuality, communication, and emotional maturity.
• Develop knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

• Involved in supporting a team which provides exceeding early childhood education and care
• Have a sound understanding of, and work in accordance with the requirements of the National Quality Framework, including but not limited to, the relevant Law and Regulations
• Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics, the services Code of Conduct and Child Safe Code of Conduct
• Work to develop a culture of child safety
• Implement and uphold the services' philosophy and guiding values of Relationships, Wellbeing and Growth
• Supporting the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service
• Maintaining and upholding Workplace Health and Safety
• Maintaining and upholding privacy and confidentiality
• Demonstrating reliability through punctuality, effective communication, emotional maturity and appropriate behaviours
• Developing a sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards

About you

• AQF Certificate III in Children's Services (including working toward) or an equivalent qualification or sufficient knowledge or experience to perform the duties at this level
• Child Protection Qualification
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
• Clear Working with Children Check (N/A to under 18 years)
• Self-awareness to know when to be independent and when to access support
