Job summary

All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services – New South Wales is hiring a Chief Executive Officer for WKAC. The role leads strategic direction, governance, and operations with close collaboration with the Board and Traditional Owners.

The CEO will ensure ethical practice, transparency, and alignment with Wangkumarra rights while managing travel and hybrid operations in NSW. Applicants must meet Indigenous Identified role requirements and possess strong governance and financial oversight.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in Aboriginal organisations, community organisations or governance environments.
• Strong understanding of Native Title, Indigenous governance or land management frameworks.
• Experience working with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal communities.
• Experience establishing new organisations or scaling organisational capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, governance compliance and operational management for WKAC.
• Oversee financial oversight and business acumen to ensure sustainable operations.
• Engage stakeholders and negotiate with partners, Board and communities.
• Ensure transparent, ethical governance and alignment with Indigenous rights and interests.
