Job summary

NPY Women’s Council, an Alice Springs-based Anangu-led not-for-profit, seeks a CEO to lead a long-established Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation whose work is guided by Anangu women’s voices and priorities. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, governance, and empowering communities across the NPY region.

You will work with Directors, lead a capable workforce, and translate strategic direction into effective services while handling governance and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading a community-controlled organisation or similar complex not-for-profit.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and financial stewardship.
• Ability to work with Aboriginal communities and remote regions.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and translate Board direction into clear priorities and actions.
• Build a positive, accountable workplace culture through empathetic leadership.
• Ensure delivery of culturally responsive programs and services across the NPY region.
• Maintain strong relationships with members, communities, funders and stakeholders.
• Ensure sound governance, risk management and responsible resource management.
