Job summary

The University of Sydney's Centre for Disability Research and Policy at Camperdown Campus invites applications for a Centre Manager to provide operational leadership and help advance the centre's strategic agenda.

You will work with the Centre Director, manage budgets, engage stakeholders, ensure accessibility standards, and drive governance and reporting to support impactful disability research across Australia and the region.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in disability field with research management experience.
• Understanding of Australian disability sector policy and co-design principles.
• Operational and administrative leadership with track record delivering programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Financial management experience including budgets and expenditure control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Centre in collaboration with the Centre Director and senior academic leaders.
• Oversee business planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
• Improve processes and performance; manage workforce and operational resources.
• Deliver budget and financial management; prepare Centre budget with FMH Finance.
• Provide strategic direction to achieve program aims and objectives.
• Develop long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage governance, reporting, and communications.
