Job summary

MH Consulting and Services is seeking a Centre Director to lead a well‑established early childhood service in the Berwick area. You will inspire a positive, high‑performing team and work closely with an Operations Manager and Assistant Director to ensure exceptional outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-recognised Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Centre Director or senior leader in a medium/large Australian long day care service.
• Current Working with Children Check or VIT registration.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and inspiring a positive, high-performing team.
• Strong understanding and practical application of the EYLF.
• Ensuring service compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Managing staff rostering and day-to-day service operations.
• Experience using QikKids or similar childcare management software.
• Supporting performance management, staff development and team engagement.
• Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting and operational performance.
• Building meaningful, positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.

• Current Working with Children Check or VIT registration, as applicable
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong people-management skills and the ability to motivate, mentor and develop educators
• Sound knowledge of operational management, compliance and continuous improvement
