Job summary

MH Consulting and Service is seeking an experienced Centre Director for a Berwick-area early childhood service. You will lead a supportive, collaborative team, focusing on children, families and continuous improvement within a well-resourced environment.

You will work with an Operations Manager and Assistants to ensure high-quality service, staff development and community engagement. A competitive package and ongoing leadership development are offered.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-recognised Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Centre Director or in a senior leadership role within a medium-sized or larger Australian long day care service.
• Current Working with Children Check or VIT registration, as applicable.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong people-management skills and the ability to motivate, mentor and develop educators.
• Sound knowledge of operational management, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Leading, mentoring and inspiring a positive, high-performing team.
• Strong understanding and practical application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Ensuring service compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Managing staff rostering and day-to-day service operations.
• Experience using QikKids or similar childcare management software.
• Supporting performance management, staff development and team engagement.
• Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting and operational performance.
• Building meaningful, positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.
