Job summary

VE Group AU is seeking a Multi-Skilled Civil Operator for Central Queensland projects, with experience across Excavator, Skid Steer, Backhoe Loader and Truck & Tag operations. The role requires mobility between equipment and duties, working in a small crew and maintaining safety standards.

Role involves transporting plant between locations, pre-starts, and supporting earthworks. Moura or Gladstone can be the point of hire; CQ civil work is ongoing with weekly pay and PPE supplied.

Moura or Gladstone Point of Hire | Ongoing CQ Work | Multi-Skilled Role | Immediate Start Available

VE Group AU Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Civil Operator to join our Civil team working across Central Queensland.

This role is suited to a capable and versatile operator who can confidently move between plant and transport duties, including Excavator, Skid Steer / Posi-Track, Backhoe Loader and Truck & Tag operations.

You will work as part of a small civil crew and will be expected to operate independently when required, maintain strong safety standards and contribute to efficient project delivery.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating an 8t Excavator
• Operating Skid Steer / Posi-Track
• Operating a Backhoe Loader
• Operating a Body Truck and Tag Trailer
• Loading and unloading plant and equipment
• Transporting plant between work locations as required
• Completing daily pre-starts and equipment inspections
• Working safely around roads, live work areas and other plant
• Supporting civil construction and earthworks activities
• Working effectively within a small crew
• Working independently when required
• Following project, safety, environmental and operational requirements
• Maintaining a high standard of care for plant and equipment

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• Construction Industry White Card
• Excavator competency
• Skid Steer Loader competency
• Backhoe competency
• Current HR or HC licence appropriate to the Truck & Tag combination
• Proven experience operating multiple types of civil plant
• Experience loading and unloading plant
• Confidence working around roads and live work environments
• Strong commitment to safety and safe plant operation
• Ability to work effectively within a small team
• Ability to work independently when required
• Reliability, punctuality and pride in your work
